More than 600 Hiawatha residents and surrounding community members visited the recently completed Brown County Law Enforcement Center at an open house Saturday, Sept. 11. The law enforcement center includes offices for sheriff’s administration, records, deputies, workroom, interview rooms, evidence and property storage. The 41-bed jail will house inmates in separate pods to maintain proper classifications.
