This grant application included the complete renovation of 1,400 SF of research space at McCollum Laboratories to support the new research activities. New spaces included a Synthetic Molecular Probes and In Vivo Imaging Core Laboratory, An In Vivo Imaging Room, A Genome Sequencing Core Laboratory, and necessary support and administrative spaces.
Coles Hall Improvements - 2009 NIH C06 Grant Application Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas The Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine asked Treanor Architects to assist their faculty with an NIH C06 Grant application. The design highlights included fully flexible laboratory casework, extensive glazing to maximize daylight opportunities, and open-design to encourage collaboration amongst researchers.
Transgenic and Biobehavioral Measurement Animal Facility - 2004 NIH Grant Application University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas This successful grant application was for renovation and modification of Malott Hall for the proposed Transgenic Mouse Facility and laboratories for Biobehavioral Measurement. Malott Hall houses the campus vivarium and the renovated area connects to existing animal support areas.
Dolph Simons Bioscience Laboratories, Addition for the Vaccine and Macromolecular Stabilization Institute, 2004 - NIH Grant Application, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas This proposed project was a phased research and support space addition to the Dolph Simons Laboratories, including BL3 laboratories. The project was to be completed in 2 phases: 32,000 square feet and 20,000 square feet respectively to the existing 48,000 square foot facility. Existing flexible laboratory concepts were replicated in the addition, and the Pharmaceutical Chemistry departmental offices were to be included in phase 2.
